The Magicbox Of Moidan

Whilst on a volunteer scheme teaching kids english in Pokhara, Nepal, I took it under my wing to help the small community of the town I was living in, way up in the hills, by creating an exterior paintwork design for the community centre I was teaching in. Paint is quite expensive over in Nepal, even more so that western prices, so there is relatively little colour in the village at all. The design was inspired by a couple of things: a) The foundation that built the centre is called ‘Light The Way Foundation‘ who named the centre, ‘Light Community Development Centre’ hence the sunburst on the front b) The bright colours as its mainly used daily for the children, something bright and cheerful.

Adzel is Mariam Adam and Stephanie Zelnick, an arabian and jewish clarinet duo respectively. They came to me to form their new ident that captures the spirit of both of their cultural backgrounds. Using inspiration from old jewish and arabian patterns, amongst other compositions, I came up with this ornate ident.

Wannab theme for the digital agency Wunderman’s xmas party, required staff to dress up as a singer or musician of their choice. I used the existing and inconic Wunderman arrow and dressed it as famous musicians, to create a buzz around the office.

With what began as a tongue in cheek, university campus clique of american asians – transformed to a fully fledged clubbing experience in the UK when I met its’ head honcho. Essen-tially asked me to create an intelligent, vibrant visual identity for their company that sells german perishables to the uk market. My strategy was to create a contemporary and distinct ‘foody’ look for their brand, giving them ownership of the ‘e’ swish I developed.
